Description
The Baldrick Input1 is a user input controller designed by iLightThat in the UK.
Baldrick was the faithful servant of fictional tv character Edmund Blackadder from the 4 seasons of Blackadder as well as several specials. The board, settings and the documentation borrow some of the legendary humour from the classic tv show.
The Baldrick Input 1
- 1 powerjack accepting 5v – 24v with onboard power management and able to accept individual voltages (to avoid any big badda booms)
- 1 Turniput (Turnip Network Input) allowing full access to the Turnip Network controls and button lamp configuration.
- Small footprint for easy placement inside a project box
- Works over ethernet or Wifi (with antenna)
- Turniput allows effects via a button, motion sensor, reed switch, beam break or other input device.
This board is the perfect way to have a ‘push for sound box’, ‘start show button’ or do some really cool stuff with a motion sensor.

- Wireless Chip, the BaldrickInput1 can run on either Wifi or Ethernet (but to get the wifi working, you’ll need an antenna)
- 100mb Ethernet Port, you can use this to connect to your show network.
- Test Button, use this to test what you’ve setup
- Turniput, connect a button, motion sensor, beambreak or anything here to trigger an effect (it also has an output for lamp control)
- Power Jack, can take 5v to 24v (each side can take different voltages) and will automatically step down to power the components, no jumpers needed.
- Oh No button, use this to reset the board by holding for 5 seconds when the board is booting.
